Training & Capacity Building

Training & Capacity Building

Contact Us

We help clients and stakeholders overcome organisational, institutional and situational capacity barriers so that they can build stronger systems and implement lasting change.

Our capacity building services are provided by sector specialists, often in collaboration with local partners and, in some cases, individuals with specific-mineral expertise. We value trainings that balance core knowledge with interactive sessions that promote peer-to-peer exchange using role play to enhance learning by integrating theory and practice.

We believe in consensus building, not just capacity building. Through structured discussions, our work helps stakeholders from across mineral value chains reach agreements and understandings that are mutually beneficial and, above all, sustainable.

What we provide

Capacity building on compliance and risk management

Following the design or revision of a client’s responsible sourcing processes and procedures, we deliver training to management and personnel across different functions on risk management, standards and related requirements, including getting ready for an audit. We prepare staff through highly interactive approach balancing core knowledge with peer-to-peer exchange during practical simulations.

We provide technical training on best practices, health and safety and negative impact minimisation amongst miners and communities, fostering enterprise, independence and environmental stewardship. Our community capacity building is sensitive to community values, priorities and drivers. We deliver training in formats best suited for each context, be it through in-person consensus-building sessions, comprehensible and local language training manuals or structured workshops programmes.
