A professional consultant and advisor who works with social entrepreneurs to grow and scale businesses to change the world, Karen has worked with more than 1,000 organisations and teams. She is a Churchill Enterprise Fellow (2018) from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust.
Her focus is developing sustainable organisations through innovative methods of growth, franchising/replication and buying profitable private businesses as well as investment readiness, governance, new technology and business development support. As a member of the faculty at Cambridge Judge Business School Centre for Social Innovation, she supports social ventures through the Social Venture Weekend and their Social Venture Incubator. She also works directly with organisations and through a number of organisations like UnLtd, Inspiring Scotland and Institute for Social Entrepreneurs across the UK. She is a non-executive director and chair of MAMOQ (The Conscious Consumer Ltd), as well as a founding member of Changing the Chemistry SCIO.
Her projects utilise her experience gained in working in the private sector (starting in 1987) in a variety of roles for IBM, Oracle, Grant Thornton, Ernst & Young, Investec Bank, a London dotcom and Cambridge consultancy firm.
