Estelle Levin-Nally, CEO and Founder of Levin Sources, is a recognised leader in the nexus of human rights, nature and minerals. She combines her commercial acumen, innovative thinking and experience in public affairs and transformational change to guide governments, industry and multistakeholder initiatives to create just, sustainable and valuable minerals value chains.

Estelle provides strategy, policy, research, due diligence, assurance, and stakeholder engagement advisory to help Levin Sources’ clients design, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives to improve business performance and sustainability outcomes. She is also a sought-after moderator and public speaker.

Estelle’s influence extends beyond her role as a CEO. She serves as a Commissioner for the Global Investor Commission for Mining 2030, chairs the Investing in African Mining’s Sustainability Committee, and is an active member of the Women in Mining UK’s Policy Committee. As a proud Global Inspirational Woman in Mining (WIM100; 2020) and a certified board director (CDir Dip IoD), Estelle is dedicated to shaping the future of responsible and impactful leadership.

As part of recent projects she’s lead, she’s helped:

  • a major electronics firm investigate entry points for making its responsible sourcing of silica more circular and sustainable,
  • a mid-cap gold miner developing a strategy and management plan for artisanal and small-scale mining in West Africa,
  • a remining company explore the potential for discovering a green premium for their products,
  • the draft the OECD Handbook for Environmental Due Diligence on Minerals Value Chains, and
  • the Global Battery Alliance to develop its Human Rights and Child Labour Indices for their Battery Passport as well as a strategic paper on scaling critical minerals value chains sustainably.

Estelle is co-editing the upcoming book, “Leadership in the Just Transition: the role of remedy in responsible minerals value chains” for Springer Nature in partnership with two former Levin Sources employees, Dr. Fabiana Di Lorenzo and Victoria Gronwald.

Estelle has been studying the dynamics of ASM since her M.A. in Geography when she wrote about "Sustainable Livelihoods and Innovation in Governance of Artisanal Diamond Mining in Sierra Leone" and "Constructive Corporate Engagement in the Coltan Trade in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
