Davide has 15 years of experience in sustainability, specializing in social impact, human rights due diligence, and sustainable finance.
Davide's experience in business and human rights includes creating human rights policies, carrying out risk and impact analysis, and developing action plans to address human rights risks in global and local operations and supply chains. Currently based in Guatemala, he is focusing on making human rights due diligence concepts and expectations accessible and actionable for local corporates and SMEs.
He currently also serves as the Leader of the Sustainable Finance Advisory Council of Guatemala (CCFS) at CentraRSE, creating a sustainable finance ecosystem in the country. His most significant achievements include coordinating the Voluntary Sustainable Finance Taxonomy project in Guatemala, resulting in the launch of the Guatemala Social Finance Taxonomy (the first of its kind in the region, July 2025) and the Guatemala Green Finance Taxonomy (November 2025).
Previously, he worked at twentyfifty Ltd., advising international corporate clients from agriculture, automotive, food & beverage, extractives and other sectors on human rights due diligence.
During his time at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), he was responsible for WBCSD's business and human rights project, publishing the CEO Guide to Human Rights and its Call to Action signed by over 130 CEOs worldwide, building WBCSD's Business and Human Rights Gateway, and carrying out an HRDD benchmark of 100 companies using the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark methodology, leading to human rights being integrated in WBCSD's membership criteria. Davide also worked at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in South Africa and its headquarters in Germany, promoting inclusive business models through partnerships and capacity building.
He has a strong academic background, including a Master’s in Political Science from the University of Heidelberg, an MBA Essentials from the London School of Economics, and a certificate in Sustainable Business and CSR from the University of Rostock.
