Paul Sowley is a seasoned Health, Safety, and Sustainability professional in the extractive industry with over 30 years of experience working across Africa.
Until early 2025, Paul held senior leadership roles at Newmont Africa for over 15 years, where he led cross-functional teams to minimise environmental footprint and strengthen social acceptance. He has also held senior leadership roles at Resolute Mining, Adamus Resources, and supported projects across Ghana, Tanzania, Mali, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast and Guinea.
Paul recently contributed his immense experience to a book chapter in the ‘Sustainability Strategy and Management: An African Case book’ on the topic ‘Land Reclamation Issues and Prospects: A Ghana Case Study’.
